TREE PLANTING: Taking care of our wildlife and helping our forest to maintain its biodiversity is so much important thing to do. If you love yourself, love your nature, either your environment.
GIVE AND TAKE: God gives us the nature to lean on when we need them, but in return, we simply hug their importance for human being like us. Respect the wildlife and the nature will turn it to you.
EAT WELL: Mountaineering is an extraneous exercise even-though you do this very seldom. Replacing your body fluids and energize well your muscles help you aiming your goal in the summit. Stolen shot showed how does a mountaineer gets so hungry and exhausted.
DRY RIVER CROSSING: The group took photo in a big rocks. The fact was, it is a river pathway. When the lake of Aguingay is flowing and rising continuously, some of the water flowing on its pathway. But, during our trekking, some part of Aguingay Lake is dry and no water is flowing.
FLOWING SOUNDS: This is where you can get nature's water, so called, water source. The water is safe and you can use it for your necessities like cooking, drinking, and etc. This site is 20 minutes far from the campsite, the Aguingay Lake.
THE AGUINGAY LAKE: After 3 hours of trekking, at last the group did it. Strong wind approached us while we were near on the campsite. It is very amazing because you will see how does the Lake looks like when it is dry.
THE CAMPSITE: In Mt. Bulusan, this is the second Lake, Aguingay LAke. We built our tent first, put our gadgets in safe and we took our lunch here. We arrived exactly 12:40 pm. After taking our lunch, the group then decided to take the summit in afternoon and have the overnight here in the campsite. Also, we met some of the group who hiked early morning, they were the first group who did hiking in that day and our group was the second group.
THE FOG: At our back, that is the Peak of Mt. Bulusan. Crowded by the fog gave you an idea how hard the trail is. The fog gives a cold wind, a rain and a dark pathway because of its blurring effect due to the concentration of fog. Still, that is the mountain going to its summit. In its summit, you will see the crater of a volcano if there's a clearing and see a lot of stones surrounded on its crater and distributed in some part of the mountains.
THE GRASSLAND: High cuts of grasses the group encountered while taking up ourselves going to summit. The trail is very slippery when wet but you can hold onto on those grasses.
BEHIND THE GRASSLAND: Taking relaxation is quite awesome when you find out there is something beautiful at your back and after surpassing the long, sharps grasses.
THE WONDERS: Definitely it is the most amazing one, from this part we took 30 minutes going to the summit. In this point, this is the last part of grassland and the group started to trail for the stony and rocky trail.
BREATH-TAKING: Some of us wore jackets because strong winds brought cold weather. Nearer to the summit, the weather got along so challenging. Walking so slowly because when you have a wrong moves definitely your feet slide so down.
THE STONES AND ROCKS: Those are the trademarks of a volcano. In the history, a volcano eroded with rocks; small or big one.
THE VOLCANO'S CRATER: And Yes!!! The group reached the highest peak. It is very remarkable for us. Conquering a volcano is such an accomplishment. And our group was so lucky because there is clearing, we have been seen the volcano's crater and its characteristics. JOB WELL DONE.
FEELS THE PEAK: Be in the summit, that is the goal of a mountaineering group, and as part of the history, the ORANGUTAN MOUNTAINEERS did the same thing as what others can do.
STRONG WIND WHILE GOING DOWN: Getting along yourselves going down, still the group felt the coldness of surroundings because the sun is getting down and the mid afternoon is arises. Also, plus the contributions of the fog, and be in high altitude and the strong winds.
SOCIAL LIFE: We spent our overnight in the campsite, in the Aguingay Lake. This is where, the group conquered already the Mt. Bulusan summit. In this par,t socialization is the most important thing to do. Sharing your stories about the trekking you did, and sharing laughter from the other group. We stayed here for overnight, and by tomorrow morning, 7 in the morning, we will do trekking going down to the jump-off. We took another 3 hours.
TRULY CERTIFIED: At last, our group "ORANGUTAN MOUNTAINEERS" definitely conquered the Mt. Bulusan. Everyone got the certificate and we were truly certified, we conquered the Mt. Bulusan as a major trekking.
MORAL LESSONS:
Hardship will not seen in any kind of the mountain or in a volcano, but in your dedication as a group and not as an individual. Conquering in such specific mountain having a major trail is so hard thing to do without respecting anyone behind you; the wildlife and its surroundings.
